These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the save brain power application, website, and related services (the "Service"), operated by its individual developer (the "Operator"). By signing in to or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The Service is a personal work journal: it stores tasks, meetings, notes, people, and related records that you create or that are synced from third-party tools you connect. The Service is end-to-end encrypted by design: content you write is encrypted on your device before transmission, and the Operator has no technical means to read it.
You are responsible for your account, for the devices you use to access it, and for safeguarding your encryption passphrase and recovery phrase. You must be legally capable of entering into these Terms to use the Service.
You retain all rights to the content you store in the Service. You are solely responsible for that content and for your use of the Service — including compliance with all laws and regulations that apply to you and with any contractual obligations you owe to third parties, such as employment agreements, client contracts, confidentiality undertakings, and intellectual-property assignments.
You represent that you are authorized to store and process any information you place in the Service. The Operator has no ability to inspect your content (see Section 5) and assumes no responsibility for what you store, sync, generate, or share.
You agree not to use the Service to violate any law, to infringe the rights of others, to store or distribute unlawful material, to interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure (including the hosted proxy), or to attempt to access data or accounts that are not yours. Automated abuse, resale of the Service, and attempts to circumvent rate limits or security measures are prohibited.
Content is encrypted client-side with keys derived from secrets only you hold. The Operator cannot read, restore, or recover your content. If you lose your passphrase and recovery phrase, your data is permanently unrecoverable, and the Operator has no liability for that loss. You are responsible for maintaining your own exports and backups.
The Service can connect to third-party services (such as GitHub, Linear, Google Calendar, Granola, and AI providers) using credentials and API keys that you supply. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, and any fees they charge are yours. Requests to those services are made from your browser, optionally through a relay you choose. The Operator is not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or what they do with data you send them.
The Service is under active development and may change, break, or be discontinued at any time. The Operator may modify or withdraw features, impose limits, or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, OR UNINTERRUPTED AVAILABILITY. OUTPUT PRODUCED BY AI FEATURES IS GENERATED BY MODELS YOU SELECT AND MAY BE WRONG; YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR REVIEWING IT BEFORE RELYING ON IT.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE OPERATOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SERVICE — INCLUDING ANY USE OR MISUSE OF THE SERVICE BY YOU OR BY ANY THIRD PARTY — EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. THE OPERATOR'S AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Operator from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use or misuse of the Service; (b) your content; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any law or of any third party's rights, including contractual obligations you owe to employers or clients.
You may stop using the Service at any time; export tools are provided so you can take your data with you. The Operator may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms. Sections 3, 5, and 8–13 survive termination.
The Operator may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version, and continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Operator's country of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and disputes shall be submitted to the courts of that jurisdiction unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
